Medal of Honor
An outstanding act in the line of duty with imminent personal hazard to life with full knowledge of the risks involved.

Combat Cross
An individual act of heroism performed with imminent personal hazard to life while in combat with an armed adversary.

Wound Medal
Wound received in the line of duty, inflicted by an armed adversary, causing severe puncture, laceration, concussion, or fracture.
Meritorious Service Medal
A highly unusual or creditable accomplishment, under adverse conditions with:
· Some degree of hazard to life or limb to the nominee; or
· Where some serious injury or death of some other person is prevented through the efforts of nominee.

Exceptional Duty Medal
A highly creditable accomplishment brining public acclaim to himself or herself, his or her department, or the the Police Profession, as a result of training, devotion to duty or service to the public.

Apprehension Award
The arrest or assisting in the arrest of a person or persons for the commission of a 1st or 2nd degree crime, or the crime of a burglary, with the exception of auto burglary. The arrest must occur within 72 hours of the crime.

Investigative Service Award
A highly creditable accomplishment, which results in the arrest of a person or persons for the commission of a 1st or 2nd degree crime, or the crime of a burglary with the exception of auto burglary, through investigative means.

Life Saving Award
An act performed on or off duty, with disregard of personal safety, or when prompt and alert action results in the saving of a life. The patient must have survived for no less than 30 days and /or have been treated and released from a medical facility.

Childbirth Award
Aiding or assisting in the delivery of a newborn infant or infants, in or under circumstances other than a hospital type facility.

CPR Save
Successful performance of CPR by the nominee resulting in resuscitation of a patient. The patient must have survived for no less than 30 days and /or have been treated and released from a medical facility.

AED Save
Successful administration of an automated external defibrilator by the nominee resulting in resuscitation of a patient. The patient must have survived for no less than 30 days and /or have been treated and released from a medical facility.

P.B.A. Local 206 President's Unit Citation
The participation by the nominee in an event where the nominee had a direct impact and made an invaluable contribution to the positive outcome of the incident.
Civilian Award
A heroic act performed by a civilian that offered a significant contribution to public safety or demonstrated exceptional police support and cooperation.
